Jubilee

This afternoon we took our kids to the Jubilee. The kids love to look at all the different trees and see who donated them. For those of you that have never heard of this before, it is a fundraiser for our school district. They hold it every year the week of Thanksgiving. Tuesday night they hold a big gala and people bid on these amazing trees. Then weds. and friday the public can view them and place bids also! Hubby's boss always buys a tree, then sets it up along with ones he's purchased years before. The showroom of the dealership looks like a winter wonderland!! So fun!

I always look forward to this tradition, it makes me get a little weepy every time we go. You see, my oldest daughter has personally benefitted from the generous donations of people and businesses. Because of her disability, she is blessed to have such an amazing group of friends with CP, Autism, and so on. This jubilee makes it possible for some of these kids to have special devices to help them get around, communicate....the list goes on and on! Two of her best friends have posters up with their amazing stories.

If you have time, check it out!
