Bad Blogger

Hi everyone! Yes I'm still here! Just slackin' on the bloggin' thing! We have been all sorts of busy. I would post some pictures, but I jacked up my dig camera(I think) and can't get them to upload. So after many swear words I decided to give up and just post pictures tonight when Brian gets home.

We have been enjoying our summer, doing the usual fun summer things. We've went to the zoo(it rained). Had water fights(it rained). Went to the cabin(it rained). Can you see a pattern here?!

So in the spirit of all things summer...here is a drink that I've made several times for the kids

take a 2liter bottle of this

then add a can of frozen thismix together in a punch bowl....easy peasy!

It does have a little twang to it, but aahhh so refreshing!

What Do You Think

My SIL Nat(sorry bloggers, she doesn't trust you. 4 my eyes only) had a great idea on her blog today.

I am just like her, the 'glass is half empty' kinda gal.

Sometimes we get down on ourselves for all the things we did not accomplish in a day.

Many a day has ended with me going....

if only this...

but I didn't do that..

oh just a little longer...

She decided to write down all the things she did get done daily.

Sort of a journal or list type of way.

I think this is a great idea, and I'm gonna follow her lead.

Sometimes us moms are too hard on ourselves. I know I really bite off more than I can chew most days.

But what an example we can be to our kids especially if we can show all the positives!

I will sum up today with 3 words

ONE

STINKY

BASEMENT

We are, in all sense of the word 'bottom-dwellers'

i.e. we live in the basement

of Brian's parents house

today the drain in the said basement decided it didn't want to play nice

it threw a fit

or threw up...depends on how you look at it

actually it was really gross to look at

poor Brian had to snake it out

and the downstairs shower

and the toilet

McCoy favorite phrase of the afternoon was, "Mommy, I don't think poopies are supposed to be in the shower....you get mad at me if I do that!"

a good time was had by all

Oh My Heck!

Ok, everyone that knows me, knows that I am a Twilight freak.

They also know my devotion to Team Edward.

With that being said....I did not like the 2nd book- New Moon. It was my least favorite out of all of them.

Now, we don't have Directv anymore since moving. So I didn't get to watch the MTV awards last night.
